Tier 2 dependent maintenance funds requirement

Post by Waseem432000 » Thu Sep 27, 2018 4:10 pm

Hi. I recently started working for an IT firm in UK on tier-2 visa and my employer certified my maintenance. I plan to apply for my wife's dependent visa as she is in Pakistan. My question is related to maintenance funds requirements for her. I have recently started working and I haven't even received my first salary yet so I can't fulfil the minimum funds requirements via a three months bank statement. My wife's also doesn't have that much funds in her bank account in Pakistan either. Can I request my employer to issue me a maintenance letter for her to certify her maintenance or do I have to wait for least three months and keep a minimum balance in my account in UK or Pakistan and then apply for her visa using bank statement?

Hi,

As far as i know if your employer is A rated you can ask for letter and your employer may need to update the COS for your wife.

I am not sure but let the other people comments

Great. That would be great. I will wait for senior members to comment before starting my plan of action. :) Thanks
