This is what the form says. "You must give details of all criminal convictions, including spent convictions. This includes convictions for road traffic offences, including drink-driving offences, but not fixed penalty notices (such as speeding or parking tickets)."gladiator939 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 27, 2018 2:48 pmApologies if this is covered elsewhere, I just wanted to shout out my query as I'm quite keen to get some views:
Hi
I've booked an application for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) on the 23rd of August and have paid the required fees.
I just wanted to confirm the responses to Section 7 of the SET (O) form that deals with criminal convictions, as I have not got a clear response from anywhere including the policy guidance.
1) in April 2015 - I had a road traffic collision, which was settled out of court. It was a very minor bump where I rear ended a car and the matter was settled between the insurers. given that there was a child in the car the claimant also went to court to get a settlement order which I understand protected the rights of the minor and certified the compensation awarded by my insurer. I had no say in either the court matter nor the outcome, nor did I agree to / was given visibility of the amount until the very end, when the solicitor acting for the insurer contacted me. Does this have any bearing at all on my criminal record, which would require me to declare this on the ILR form? I have checked the trust online website and don't see any CCJs / judgements against me, which tells me probably not but please could you confirm.
You can request your criminal record report here

2) I have just received (yesterday) a notice of intended prosecution (nip) from notts police, as I was doing 36 mph on a 30 mph road. this alleged offence was recorded by a mobile speed van. I have been given a S172 report to fill out, which I will do. I don't have any points on my license, have never received one of these before, and this is my first ever traffic offence of any kind. therefore, does this mean that I will have to be offered a speed awareness course? again, what is the impact of this incident on my imminent ILR application?
Hi, Did you manage to get your ILR?
