Use of Tier 2 COS

Hi guys,

This might be a trivial question but I’m very confused regarding using the COS.

On the https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/eligibility
Website it states that the COS must be used after 3 months getting it.

But as far as I am aware the COS is only
Valid for 3 months.

I am confused with the wording used on the website, could someone please help me out

It says : You must use it 3 months after getting it.
So if you read it correctly , once assigned you have to apply for visa within 3 months after that CoS expires .

On the COS issued, you would have a
Expiry date (use by):

You will need to use it before the specified date.

there is an expiry date on your COS, you should use it before this date
