Once you get ILR in 2021, you can apply for citizenship immediately as the spouse of a British citizen if you meet the requirements. Also, naturalisation and citizenship is the same thing, not sure why you think it is 1 year for each.now have to again wait for 5 years + 1 year ILR + 1 Year Naturalisation + 1 year Citizenship.
No it is not possible. You need ILR before you can apply for citizenship.I applied for Spouse Dependent Visa in 2016 after my refusal for ILR. My question is, is it possible for me to apply for British Passport on the basis of my minor son already having British Citizenship ?
No there is no shorter route. You require 5 years on your current visa route and will have to apply for an extension in December and meet all the same requirements again, however you will need English A2 instead of A1. Note that the IHS fee is likely doubling by December too.Is there any shorter route ? My spouse dependent visa expires in December this year.
You cannot apply for the FLR(FP) Parent visa if you are still in a relationship with the childs other parent. Besides, this will reset your clock to zero and a new 5 year or 10 year period.yoginipingle wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 11:07 pmHi,
As I mentioned earlier, my 4 years old son has a British Passport. I have a Spouse Dependent Visa on my husband who is a British Citizen. Can I apply for Dependent Visa on my son during my next renewal, which is due in December this year, without resetting the clock for my British Citizenship route ? I understand it is a 5 year route of which 2.5 years are already over. But looking for faster means.
Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards
Asking the same question again in a new topic won't change the answer you were already given on 21 October.
