Yes MBE of Sheffield definitely better than 3d. I used MBE Sheffield they were very fast and gave choice of UPS, DHL and Fedex. I think MBE is proper company and have branches all over the world but 3d is just a man in a van.

You need to make sure you have the right building to tell courier to collect from as Home Office is moving and they send documents from new Vulcan Steel building as well as old Moorfoot building. Sometimes they are asking couriers to collect form wrong building

Can anybody help me with the procedure, please?

If I sent my documents (courier is not arranged) to Home Office and received ref number by e-mail, when should I receive my original docs back? How long it takes? Do these documents come together with HSMP Approval letter (14 wks or 70 working days), or I should receive them earlier, before letter's arrival?

Cheers

Have anyone used UK Royal Mail special delivery for sending to and forth the documents..? or is it better to arrange courier service to pick them up?

Within UK (Tier 1), Special Delivery is what people generally use.
In India (Tier 1), I think (not sure) the docs are either sent to VFS offices or you can arrange for them to delivered to you through courier (addl. charges).
Outside UK / India (HSMP as yet), best to get a courier service if you want your documents to reach you safely.

Courier arrangement through fax

Post by spattigilli » Wed May 21, 2008 9:13 pm

HI All,

I tried faxing a letter to HSMP people for Courier pickup at the number 01142072894. I got this number when I mailed HO regaring courier pickup.

I was trying it from USA so used the follwonig number 00441142072894.

Is it fine or should I have used 004442072894.

Please let me know.

Perhaps the leading "011" is a country specific requirement, US in this case, that you need to prefix before the country code of the destination.

Hence not known to people not familiar with the US system.

In terms of speed, I get the impression that airmail is just about as quick as courier between the UK and New Zealand (ie 5-7 days usually). Can anyone comment on this?

A Small Advise...

Dont give C/o Address while arranging Courier service...

HO will not allow C/O address

FedEx doesn't do domestic UK and their arrangement with CitySprint was a disaster.

I've sent it again using UPS with a Royal Mail return.

Perhaps I should've used Royal Mail both ways from the beginning.

Best way to receive documents within UK is Royal Mail

Post by sumu » Sat Dec 13, 2008 8:11 pm

Even I was concerned about collecting all documents but I felt Royal mail was the best option and I didn't bother too much .

At-least let them pay for sending our documents back ..

Yes it is ok. But make sure you send it by First Class Recorded Delivery, maybe even Guaranteed Delivery for the next day before 1pm.
Please do not send me any Private Messages as I do not check these.

Delivery for tier 1

Post by rejilx » Fri Oct 30, 2009 12:28 pm

Hi,

Any idea whether I can give my application form personally at Durham? I live only 1 mile away from the passport office here in Durham.

Thanks
