Overseas Criminal Record Check for Tier 2 General

Hi,

I was hoping for some further information surrounding whether I would need an Overseas Criminal Background Check when applying for my Tier 2 General Visa.

I'm currently applying for a Tier 2 General Visa from Bangladesh, for a role which has a SOC of 2317. I have already received my COS from my employer but it does not clarify on that whether a criminal check is necessary.

Can someone please help clarify in which scenarios a criminal back ground check would be necessary and when it would not?
