Refused, graduate level experience :(

Post by 2002sailing » Fri Mar 11, 2005 12:37 pm

date received by HO: 16 June 2004 applied in country
refused: 09 March 2005

point award

Academic:25
work experience:0
Earning:25
age:5

total:55

I required 25 point for 2 years graduate level experience, but HO considered the evidence for graduate level experience was insufficient.

it said:"the job description given on your employer reference was not assessed as demonstrating graduate level work experience.no points have been awarded."

what can I do now?anybody can help me? Thanks

What evidence did you provide for graduate level experience?

Sorry to hear that. However what type of evidence did you send? Am sure if re submit the experience letter then they will consider you but get some members with more experience to look at your evidence.

1.post employer reference on its letter headed paper which described the start date, end date, duties and responsibilities, salary. It's original one

2.professional qualification awarded after 1 year work.(can I use this evidence to require review on my case, because in my country, this qualification is only awarded to graduate.

3.Honor awarded during graduate training period.(this training was design for graduate before they went to work.

very sorry to hear about your refusal. My suggestion would be if you could type in the actual job reference letter on this forum (deleting or xxxx names of yourself company or any other features that will disguise your identity) at least that way people here could actually tell you what they think is wrong with the letter.

Yes type that letter so that members can edit it and come up with a good one. I think you stand a chance so do it ASAP so that you reapply

I think the first important thing missing from that is you Job Title, and whether it was a Graduate position or not (it doesnt matter if you are a graduate or not whats important is that the job be for someone at a graduate level). whatever your job title is, it is import that it be 'Graduate XXX'. Dont take it for granted that becoz such a job is only done by graduates in country that they will award you the points

this could be very crucial if you can include in your letter that you had to go thru some form of graduate training programme b4 you started. as well as including the award and a supporting letter from your employer explaining what it is for
