Is a marriage certificate required if applying for FBR?

Post by Bluegill » Mon Nov 05, 2018 4:27 pm

Is it necessary for yourself if you haven’t had a name change? Where I was married it only lists my wife and me on the certificate, and the day and the person who wed us.

I could see needing it if there was a name change. Also I have my parents and grandparents certificates which I will submit.

I’ve heard conflicting information from so many about this document. Thanks in advance

I have wondered about this myself. But I ended up sending my marriage certificate anyway. It only cost $10, so I didn’t think it was worth testing the theory it might not be needed. You can always try asking them via their website.
