Spouse Visa: House ownership

Post by kaydee2016 » Sat Oct 20, 2018 3:58 pm

Hi All,

I am making a visa application for my wife (Outside the UK). Is it a must to include house ownership documents including land registry documents or mortgage certificates etc. or would the council tax / Utility Bill will suffice? I'll include bank statements(6 months?) which will have the entries of the direct debits for mortgage, utility bills etc?

Appreciate the experience & replies etc. please

You need to include house ownership documents. Council tax and utilities is not sufficient.

Original / Certified documents for spouse visa application

Post by kaydee2016 » Sat Oct 20, 2018 7:17 pm

Hello Members,

For a British Citizen who is the sponsor of his wife (Spouse visa outside UK), are all documents listed below must be originals or certified:

1) Husband Passport Copy (Certified required?)
2) Land Registry Document for home ownership (Original or certified or copy?)
3) Utility Bills (Printed pdf bills or certified required? Paper bills not being received)
4) Bank Statements (Original or pdf prints as certified?)It is quite usual not to receive paper statement in UK.
5) P60s: Original or certified?

Please suggest if I missed to list any document?

Thanks a million friends

1. As per member experience certified copy should be fine.
2. Preferably original
3. Should be original if not than other alternative such as bank statement/credit card statement can be used for proof of address
4. Go to bank who can print and stamped until 3 months bank statement inside the branch
5. If you are attaching official payslips, employer letter than no need of P60, do not attach it.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Dear Seagul,
Thanks for your detailed reply. Actually I am self employed & director of my own limited company. Therefore I can't get employer salary slips. I suppose, P60 for last year, Income by accountant and HMRC self assessment should be fine.?
cheers

Spouse Visa from India

Post by kaydee2016 » Wed Oct 24, 2018 10:31 pm

Hello Members,

Sorry to write my queries, if these have already been replied, but due to very less time left, I need to ask.
My querries are for spouse visa for my wife, I am a British Citizen.
Queries below:
1) I am a self employed person via limited company. I meet the income criteria as my salary & dividends are much in excess of GBP 18600. I have the letter from my accountant indicating salary & my directorship, HMRC self asssessment, P60, Company incorporation certificate, Company VAT registration certificate and company accounts files for latest year. I'll also attach my personal bank statements where I receive the salary & dividend every month (Approx. GBP3300). Is this sufficient or I need some more documents i.e. salary slips as well, although salary is not much,as dividends are more. I'll also attach ISA bank statement as well savings >20K.
2) I have a 3 bed semi D house & I live on my own. Do I need to attach property inspection report that this is a 3 bed house? This is where I'll stay with my wife. I am not sure, if property inspection report is required only for HMOs?
3) I am not sure of the process, if VFS in India will only accept the online form, IHS payment confirmation, Appointment confirmation and wife's passport. Sponsor's documents (my documents) need to be sent to Sheffield by me or she has to send from India to Sheffield or all documents will be submitted at VFS?
4) I am not able to find original land registry documents & it is too short time for ordering a copy. Can I use the certificate which I can get from the bank, when I visit to the bank? Also my mortgage is paid every month, so Home office can confirm the mortgage payments.
5) The utility bills for electricity & gas is received as pdf in online account. Same is the case for bank statements.

Appreciate the urgent replies, please.

Hi,
I need to send certified copy of my passport with spouse visa supporting documents. I just want to know if home office accepts post office certified copy? or it has to be from the solicitor?

Thanks
Post office certified copy should definitely be accepted because it confirm that the copy is the true likeness of original.
Does the sponsor need to submit the certified copy of British Passport? I was thinking that only photocopy will suffice?

Hello Members,

My wife has completed her online application & downloaded. She also paid IHS & Visa fee.
There are 2 pages in 12page application.

1) How to use these 2 pages with bar code.
2) Does my wife need to paste a photo on first page of application?
3) Based on info I received, I think it is Ok for wife to carry printout of online application form, IHS & VISA Payment receipts, VFS Appointment confirmation, her passpor & 2 photos. Anything else please?
4) How about my passport copy(British)? Does this need to be submitted by wife at VFS in Delhi?

regards

1 - No idea what you mean, they are part of the application so goes with application pages?
2 - No, you attach your passport sized photo there
3 - For Bio-metrics your wife just needs to take with her:

- Appointment Letter
- Passport
- 2x Passport Photo
- Printed copy of Online Application (only to show to them, do not submit it to them)
- Application payment proof

She ONLY submits her bio-metrics and Passport at VFS NOTHING else, otherwise sometimes they end up posting from India and then when you post from UK there is 2 bundles. She sends her other documents to you, and you add your stuff and then send everything to Sheffield from within UK.

4 - No

Different views but safe and cheapest way to get photocopies certified from post office who offers it at very cheap cost.

No need and waste of money. British passport is easily checked by Home Office using the passport number, hence only photocopy for British Passports. Other country passports have different rule.
