Hi All,
so no body here know that case goes to Foregin Affairs department after all checks have been completed. and goes to this department to
sign it off?

Thanks
It doesn't. You have either been misinformed or someone is playing a joke on you.

It is ONLY Home Office in Sheffield that process and decides ALL visa applications.
Thanks for letting me know. I am saying this because when they asked the people in pakistan they were able to give correct info about my case e.g. they knew what documents were requested and why it’s taking long

It makes no sense to go to FCO after it's gone to Home Office. Home Office probably have all tools to access information that FCO hold any way.

How does someone in Pakistan know much about such a thing. They are either talking non-sense or they meant your passport is with the embassy who will print the vignette sticker.
Hi, thanks for letting me know, the person is pakistan is in high position role so he was able to get this info. what do you mean by it’s within embassy who will print vignette sticker meaning decision has been made or?

No problem. also one question solictor recieved email to pick up passport from gerry’s office islambad but there is no name or GWF reference number? would be good for us to ring the Gerry’s office in islamabad and ask if passport has arrived for collection? or should my partner go there with ID

Thanks

InshaAllah you get the visa.

spouse visa success

Post by Badger 7 » Thu Nov 08, 2018 6:45 pm

Hello everyone, I thought I would share my visa application experience with you,as I have read through these forums while I was waiting for mine. I hope that this post will give people some hope and faith in the visa process.

I am a British citizen my wife is russian we married in Cyprus on 18th January 2018
We got engaged on the 16th sept 2017

Applied for spouse visa 12th sept 2018
Biometrics done in Moscow 13th sept 2018
Documents sent and received by home office 14th sept 2018
(Non priority) due to having a tourist visa rejected
We were advised by a immigration solicitor not to go priority as it would waste £500

Decision made 7th nov 2018
Passport ready 7th nov 2018
Passport collected 8th nov 2018
Visa granted.

This was a none priority visa and only took 8-9 weeks very happy with how the home office proccesed it so quickly.

My advise to anyone applying is send all your whatsapp conversation, video calls everything they want from you, you give them and more.

Never lie or try to hide anything from them as this will lead to a not straightforward email!
Which will then make the process even longer.
And may result in them phoning you and your place of Work to make sure you are not a complete fraud!

We had a tourist visa rejected we made sure we told them of this so as not to hide anything.

I used a very good solicitor which cost a lot of money and so did the visa. But love is worth more than silver or gold!
So good luck people with you’re applications
If you want to ask anything I will reply with an honest answer

Thanks but my question is its already been a month that they have made decision.. how long we have to wait for a call for collection?? Its so much frustrating to wait each n everyday.. tomorrow our 14 weeks will be completed after biometrics.

Yes, you are right no need to go, because even the solicitor does not know who’s it is. I am not sure if it will be ours as biometrics were done in Mirpur and email is from Islamabad gerry’s

Thanks for sharing. I married a Russian too, in Gibraltar in July, and submitted the application a few days before yours. We had the decision made email on 31st October and my wife is on her way back to Russia as we speak to send her passport back in for the decision. Your post gives me a bit of hope that the timings are about right for a positive outcome, though we didn’t use a solicitor, we used a Russian agency which was a lot cheaper, so I just hope they did a good job. Will update when I find out for sure.

Don't loose hope as I nearly did. Mine has just made a decision now after 10 months and now my husband has to renew his passport and when they send his passport hopefully he should have his visa. It's not an easy process but in sha allah everyone gets wat they wish for
