SET(M) Application Process

Post by Goudiaby » Thu Oct 25, 2018 4:15 pm

Hi,
I am going to apply for indefinite leave to remain:SET(M) so I have a few questions to ask.
Do I really need a Solicitor if I meet the financial requirements?
I have all the documents required
I am just worried about filling the application form in case there is some points I might miss. I was looking for some immigration advisors just to have the form checked before I apply but the money they asking is too much.

I would like to do the application by myself in a premium centre for same day.
Any advice regarding the whole application process would be appreciated!

Thanks

The answer to your questions lies within your personal preference. If you feel comfortable enough, go for it yourself, else pay a hefty sum to an immigration advisor.

I recommend having a read of the actual application form, make notes of the questions/points you aren't clear about, search on these forums or the wider online community for answers towards those concerns - I am certain your confidence level will increase with a week's of simple research online. With these steps, I am certain you will come to a definitive decision with your application.

Employer Letter

Post by Goudiaby » Mon Oct 29, 2018 11:02 pm

Hi,
I am going to apply for my ILR SET (M).
I have requested an employer letter and my HR made me one. But my problem is my contract is 16h/week (part time) and I actually never work part time but full time. My earning(£32,516.36)exceeding the financial requirements. Now HR said they can’t put that on the letter but I have the P60 showing this amount I earned.
Now is it a problem if they mention the 16hours/week on the letter?

The letter is written as:

30 October 2018
Private and Confidential

To Whom It May Concern,
Re – Mr xxxx– Confirmation of Employment

This letter confirms the above mentioned person is a permanent employee with (company name)
Start Date: 06 December 2015
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Job Title:
Hourly Salary: xxxx
Contracted Hours: 16.00 Hourly / Weekly
Date of Birth: xxxxx
Address: xxxx

The above information is given in the strictest confidence and with no liability accepted by the company or any of our employees. This information should not be divulged to any third party.
Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact our shared service centre via email at xxxxx

Yours sincerely

Is this letter good enough?
Please need your opinion
Thanks

ILR SET M FORM

Post by Goudiaby » Sat Nov 03, 2018 1:18 am

Hi,
I am filling a set m form and My questions are:
Q 2.27 Do you shared any financial responsibility
My partner is not working neither receiving any income but child Benefit. I pay rent, bills everything. So what should the answer be?

Section 2 and 3: our children are British citizens do I stil need filling these sections?

Section 8C:accommodation
On my previous application we didn’t fill it as my solicitor said it was not necessary if you meet or exceed the financial requirements. Does it still stand?

Thanks in advance

Accammodation SET (M)

Post by Goudiaby » Sun Nov 04, 2018 11:58 am

My wife and I with our 2 children live in a 2 bedroom COUNCIL FLAT since I was granted first FLR(M) 2.5 years, but not receiving any benefits, we full rent and council tax as my earnings exceed the minimum financial requirements. Hence did the application through Solicitor.
Now would this be a problem to my application?

Correct me if i am wrong
From my understanding you didn't fill section 8C,and you didn't submit you tennancy agreement too!but you had your spouse visa extended
Could you tell me from where your solicitor come with if you meet or exceed the financial requirements no need to fill section 8C

Housing Benefit received as a couple, and partner ILR application

Post by Goudiaby » Sun Nov 11, 2018 10:23 pm

Hi all,
Regarding housing! We have been given a council house 2 years 7 months ago. But we are not on benefits, we pay full rent, full council tax...
Would just having rent a house through the council impact your application?

Thanks

If you pay rent to council and do not claim housing benefits to pay that rent then you are not claiming housing benefit and it should not effect your application

Set (M) Financial

Post by Goudiaby » Mon Nov 12, 2018 9:32 pm

Good evening guys,
I have some points I need clarification please!
I have a part time contract with annual salary of £10,500 which on my employer letter.
But my earnings for that same job always exceeds the minimum requirements for the last couple of years.
2016-2017 I earned £24.000
2017-2018 I earned 32.5000
I have the P60s
Now,would it affect my application because of the £10.500 mentioned on my employer letter or they should just consider my earnings and not the contracted annual salary?

Thanks
