Postal premium service - upgrade process

Hi,

As the new services has been announced lately, how does this affect upgrading of normal postal application to premium/priority service?

perhaps I have missed something and would really appreciate any feedback

I'm curious of the same as I've been applying for premium upgrade since the 2nd week of September.

There doesn't seem to be any Home Office guidance or advice on how the new service affects the postal to premium upgrade...One would expect it to operate as normal, but I'm beginning to doubt this. So far I haven't read a single successful case of ILR set (LR) postal to premium upgrade since Aug.

I actually had the same question. My request was accepted on 27th of September for upgrading the postal application to Premium. However, I haven't heard anything after that, not even the fee has been deducted from my account. It's been over a month now and they are not replying any emails now. My holiday is booked for 24th November and I am getting very frustrated.

What options have you exhausted so far besides emailing them?


Do you mind sharing when you submitted your postal application? was it online?
I submitted my application online on the 10th of September, documents and BRP details on the 11th of September and emailing continuously since then to no avail.

I applied online on 2nd of September
Biometric Done: 3rd September
Documents Sent: 3rd September

Then I got an emergency to travel home, so I started emailing the Premium Service Team since 19th of September for the upgrade and finally my request was excepted on 27th of September.

As I didn't get any further update I tried to email them few times but didn't get any reply. I called the home office general query team. They couldn't tell me anything. This is so draining mentally, I just want to get an update what's really happening?

Have you tried writing to your local MP?

I tried writing to my local MP and his staff got back to me on his behalf. They informed me that they have contacted the UKVI (as I had requested) and they hope to hear back from the UKVI within a month (or sooner). I'm hopeful.

I can relate to your feeling of mental drain. I am absolutely sick of emailing the UKVI every morning.

What time did you send your request for upgrade? was yours a SET (LR)?

Thanks, I requested my local MP last week as well. I have tried all the possible ways I could.

I applied through SET (M).
