i am a british citizen, completed, mrcp & my cct in medicine diabetes & endocrinology & work as a locum consultant in a nhs hospital, I am aged 40.

How easy is it to get a job in canada & where is best place to start looking.

I should think they would bite your hand off.

Pick which area you want to go to and contact the local health authority and let them know you are looking. Kelowna health department had a huge stand at Emigrate this year trying to attract healthcare professionals.

Alternatively try the Canada Jobs Expo in London this June or search medical jobs on the Canadian Google (www.google.ca). There are probably websites just for medical employment.

You could also try finding out contact names of people in your field over there and start networking.

Be ready to study once again. You will need to register in your profession in Canada and for that you will need to qualify a number of tests.
