Does ILR sponsored?

Post by Jana2011 » Sun Nov 18, 2018 2:00 pm

Hi, my husband was a refugee since 2012 and I arrived to England as family reunion visa on 2013 for 5 years.
Last year me and my husband we have been granted ILR and we both are going to be eligible for BC on May 2019

Recently, my husband was cheating on me and when I discover his affair we started to fight everyday. Now he is threatening me of cancelling his sponsorship and cancel my ILR and kick me out of his life by deporting me back home (as he keeps always saying)

I dont know what to do, we have two kids (who have ILR as well) and I dont know if he still a sponser for me after being granted ILR or is he lying to make me scared and keep a blind eye about his actions

Please advise and appreciated in advance

Your husband is no longer your sponsor as you are now free of immigration restrictions. Neither can he 'cancel' your ILR . Rest assured that you have a right to live here, regardless of whether you continue to live with your husband.

You may want to seek advice from a legal professional specialising in family law, to ensure your financial and property rights as a wife are protected should you separate.

You're welcome. You can also get free advice on your marital rights from your local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)
