Reporting a sponsorer

Post by wanderer05 » Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:13 pm

Hello,

Friend of mine whose sponsored on Tier 2 General is bit fed up with her sponsorer.

Issues she facing are

1. working additional hours than mentioned in COS
2. Salary she recieves, she has to give back part of her salary.
3. Without consent is made to work 10 hrs a day.

Does is also fall under modern slavery act ?

Any inputs will be of great help to report such kindaw sponsorers.

Not really. The contract of employment likely refers to the working time directive and extra hours as required.
2. Salary she recieves, she has to give back part of her salary.
Is she working for an umbrella company or third party agent? Did she have to pay a fee to the sponsor for her CoS? Does she contract or have to find her own 'contract' jobs??

Thanks for reply.

She works in a retail firm and is being employed to work for them only but they say we pay so much tax so would need to compensate a bit from her salary.

Also about hours she is made to do 48 hours instead of stated 40 hrs week in and week out...is that legal ?

Is this sponsor on the HO approved sponsor list?

Their 'tax' is their issue.

What is her SOC and salary?

What job does she do?

Bear in mind reporting her sponsor will likely end up losing her job and her visa will be curtailed.

Might be a better option to find another sponsor and once she has a new visa, then report the current sponsor.

When did she get her visa and did she apply from outside the UK??
