Tier 1 Dependent Visa - Doubts

Post by ind2touk » Mon Nov 12, 2018 12:06 pm

Hi Admin,

I'm on Tier 1 Entr Extension visa. I'm going to apply dependent visa for my wife and 2 months infant by this month and intend to travel Jan 2019.

I came to UK on 2011, got tier 1 entr -> July 2014 to july 2017
I have applied dependent visa for my wife and she got visa valid from Apr 15 to Apr 17.
We applied for extension together on July 2017 but no reply until July 2018.

Due to pregnancy, she withdraw application and left India. She stayed with me continuously in UK until July 2018.

I got my tier 1 extension visa on Aug 2018 and valid until Aug 2020. I'm going to apply visa for both of them.

Q1: how much maintenance fund do i need to maintain in bank account for myself/wife/child together?

Q2: For Wife: Do i need to provide Police certificate from UK, because she lived here 3 year 2 months.
Note: I read on document Aug 1st onward if applicant staying 12 months continuous in any country - Police certificate must be provided. I got one from India. Do i need for UK?

Q3: Does infant[2 months baby] need to make an application separately?

Q4: how much visa fees for infant is it same?
Q5: Documents list needed for wife & infant dependent?

Thanks
Raj

You should be able to add your child in the partner application as you fill it. At least that is how it is in the paper form. If online does not allow it, then you have to do a separate one.

Hi Marcnath & Zimba,

Thanks for all your information.
My wife going to apply this week.

Still i'm confused with this maintenance fund.
How much actually has to be maintained?

Wife Dependant: £630
Baby Dependant: £630
What about £945 for Main Applicant?

So, All together i thought she must maintain : £2205 Am i correct?

But Zimba and Marcnath - you are just saying £630 +£630 = £1260

Read Document:
https://www.gov.uk/tier-1-entrepreneur/family-members

Savings
You must show that your dependants can be supported while they’re in the UK.

Each dependant must have a certain amount of money available to them - this is in addition to the £945 you must have to support yourself.

The amount depends on your circumstances. You must have £1,890 for each dependant if you’re applying from outside the UK or have been in the UK for less than 12 months. If you’ve been in the UK for more than 12 months, you must have £630 for each dependant.

You must have proof you have the money, and that it’s been in your bank account or your dependant’s bank account for at least 90 days before you or they apply.

Example
You must have £4,725 if you want to bring your partner and one child with you to the UK (£945 to support yourself plus £1,890 for your partner and £1,890 for your child).
