TIER 1 : Entry clearance number or visa number

Post by imran99132 » Fri May 30, 2008 3:00 pm

Hi,

I was filling the application form for TIER 1 and came across this question:
Plz enter your entry clearance number or visa nember.
I got my UK entry clearance from Pakistan and on the sticker there are two numbers. One is a 9 digit long number on the top right corner and the other ia a VAF(6 digits).
Can anybody advise which one I should put in the application form as my entry clearance number.

Thanks

Imran

I think it should be the 9-digit number, which should be unique to your entry clearance.
The VAF number is the one given to your application at the Embassy where you applied, and may be duplicated at Embassies in other parts of the world.
