Referee for British Citizenship

Post by chubbziee » Thu Nov 22, 2018 12:51 pm

Hi,

My husband is applying for Naturalisation as a spouse of British citizen (3 year qualifying period). He already has ILR.

Can someone tell me please if this referee list is up-to-date? https://www.gov.im/media/624353/listofreferees.pdf

I also have a few questions, just for confirmation please regarding the requirements/fee.

1. Is the ceremony fee already included in the application fee?

2. Do you need to include passport fee with the application fee or is that a separate payment after you had the ceremony?

3. Do you need to provide payslips for previous employments for the past 10 years? or just the 3 years for the qualifying period?

Thank you :)

I also have a few questions, just for confirmation please regarding the requirements/fee.

1. Is the ceremony fee already included in the application fee? Yes £80 for public group ceremony - If you want a private ceremony you pay extra.

2. Do you need to include passport fee with the application fee or is that a separate payment after you had the ceremony? Separate payment.

3. Do you need to provide payslips for previous employments for the past 10 years? or just the 3 years for the qualifying period? I believe it's for 10 years, or for the years since when you arrived if less than 10 years. Payslips not really, P60 would be more convenient (only 1 per year), or letter(s) from employer(s).

Thank you :)

Thank you for your reply alterhase58.

I forgot to mention that he is applying through NCS in Camden next week.

He's got all his passports (old and current) to cover the qualifying period. Does he still need to provide P60 for 10 years? He's been in the UK for 10 years now and he got his ILR by 10 years long residence last month. He doesn't have his old payslips or P60s from his previous employments anymore. He's only got payslips and P60s for his current job (4 years). Would this be an issue?

I have misunderstood - husband is non-EU.
So his passports with entry and exit stamps should be sufficient. EU don't get stamped, therefore employment documentation is required.

I thought people have to hold their ILR for full 12 months to apply for the citizenship!! You need to check this with experienced members.

According to Booklet An, the 12 month rule only applies if applying under 5 year qualifying period.

CR001 - Do you know if there's a link for an up-to-date referee list? I don't know if this one is still valid https://www.gov.im/media/624353/listofreferees.pdf :(

You have been asked multiple times to please start your own topic and yet you persist in tagging onto other members threads, this one being from 2018!!!
