Update:basicdiagrams wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 7:03 pmThanks, I sent the mail with my inquiries to NationalityBiometricsOverseas@homeoffice.gov.uk, and I replied to the email with the biometric enrolment letter.alanwar wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 9:09 pm@basicdiagrams - I do not have any specific answer for you about your biometrics but perhaps you can reply to the email and see if they respond, especially if the email was signed by a person and not autogenerated. In my case my biometrics letter (attached to an email) had an inconsistency and I replied to the email and got a prompt response. My appointment is scheduled for tomorrow so hopefully it will go well.
There is a TLS VAC in my country but I'm unable to contact them as they don't have any publicly displayed contact info (except for the contact form on their website, which deals with complaints about their service).
If anyone else had a similar issue please do respond here.
So an update from my previous post:Kuks wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 1:54 pmHey everyone, so I wanted to give an update on my UKF application:

I was quite surprised too since I intitially thought they would just return my original documents and receive a letter later but the letter came with the documents.PleasantThebest wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 2:39 pmCongrats. Invitation to ceremony: TBD

Cheers! I wasn't expecting it back this soon, especially with no warning it was coming. Went to check the post and got a package with all my documents and the letter of success. I'm desperately curious about how long until I'll be invited to the ceremony as I've only heard from one other person who registered in the US and she said her ceremony was basically the same day she got her invitation, but she was also one of the first people to register under UKF so I think there weren't as many people applying.Kuks wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 8:47 pmCongratulations to you as well. Well in the letter of succes, it says that it can take up to 3 months. So out of curiosity, I called the home office today and they told me that I could contact them if I don't receive an invitation from the embassy after 21 days.ElMac94 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 8:50 pmCheers! Oh wow, super helpful - thank you! I was planning on being nice and British and waiting the full three months but if there's any chance of getting word sooner I will absolutely take it! I have three small kids I now need to register and then a spousal visa to apply for so I'm definitely keen to get the lead out on everything so we can move back to the UK in a year.Kuks wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 8:59 pmWell in the letter of succes, it says that it can take up to 3 months. That's amazing! Goodluck with everything and hopefully everything from now won't take too long as I read the passport could also take up to 6 weeks if you're applying from abroad.ElMac94 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 9:03 pmOh wow, super helpful - thank you! This is interesting. My approval letter was dated 24 October.. since its been more than 21 days, I contacted British Embassy and they just said "we haven't received your registration certificate yet".. so would be interested to know how to contact them because the approval letter also said contact us in 3 months if you haven't received an invitation from the embassy. Lol so which one is it?Kuks wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 8:59 pmWell in the letter of succes, it says that it can take up to 3 months. You would have to send an e-mail to Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.uk if you haven’t received an invitation from the Embassy after 21 days. That is what I was told on the phone by someone at the Home Office. I’m assuming the country to which the certificate needs to be mailed to also plays a roll as it is obviously quicker when mailed to a country in Europe compared to outside Europe.mercuree wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 7:36 amDid they recommend a method of contact? i.e. specific email address.Kuks wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 8:59 pmWell in the letter of succes, it says that it can take up to 3 months. You'd think they'd use diplomatic mail/couriers or some other mechanism and not the local country's surface mail...I'm not sure if its worth waiting or if I should contact Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.ukKuks wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 9:43 amYou would have to send an e-mail to Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.uk if you haven’t received an invitation from the Embassy after 21 days. I’m sure, due to the kind of document, they will use couriers. At least, I hope so. Because the certificate can’t be issued twice and so if it gets lost in the mail, it will be a problem.PleasantThebest wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 9:54 amYou'd think they'd use diplomatic mail/couriers or some other mechanism and not the local country's surface mail...I'm not sure if its worth waiting or if I should contact Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.ukKuks wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 9:43 amYou would have to send an e-mail to Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.uk if you haven’t received an invitation from the Embassy after 21 days. The user is not asking about the certificate (which can be reissued by the way), they are asking about the approval/invitation letter.Kuks wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 10:10 amI’m sure, due to the kind of document, they will use couriers. I guess I have been misinformed then. Because I was told the certificate is issued only once. So out of curiosity, I called to find out about the reissuance of citizenship certificates and I was told that it is not possible. It is issued only once. So when it’s lost, that’s it. Note that the call centres are outsourced to a third party mostly and often give generic advice.Kuks wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 11:17 amSo out of curiosity, I called to find out about the reissuance of citizenship certificates and I was told that it is not possible. Wow! You’re right because they told me that it is impossible. Well I’m glad it can be replaced then as anything of course can happen and it is an important document. Thank you for this information. It’s quite disappointing that you could be mislead or misinformed by people who are actually working at the HO. But anyway, thanks for the infoCR001 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 11:25 amNote that the call centres are outsourced to a third party mostly and often give generic advice.Kuks wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 11:17 amSo out of curiosity, I called to find out about the reissuance of citizenship certificates and I was told that it is not possible. If the cert is lost in transit or by HO, it is reissued free of charge!! Many experiences of getting replacement certs posted by members over the years.
