Hi,
My employer told me that there is a policy change from June 2018.
"As per the new rules, your dependent should complete their 1 year cooling period in India to apply their next ICT visa"

Is it true for dependents?

No there is not. Unless your employer can specifically quote the link or rules, they are wrong. Cooling off does not apply to dependents applying for tier 2 General visas.

There are slightly different rules to qualify for ICT from dependent visa. These rules have not changed either.

I was specifically referring to any tier 2 dependents and cooling off. It does not apply IF changing to tier 2 general.

There are different rules to change to ICT.

Also, please either start your own topic or continue in one you have rather than tag your questions onto another users thread!!

Thanks. Actually my wife only started this thread for the dependant visa query. That's the reason I used this thread

Note also that if your question is specifically about your spouse applying for another ICT dependent visa, then your employer is also wrong. There is no restriction or cooling off for dependents applying for another dependent visa.

Note also that your dependent is dependent on you and not your sponsor.

tier 2 ict dependent visa

Post by sugansaadhu » Mon Dec 03, 2018 2:09 pm

Hi,
I was already in uk for 1 year on tier 2 ict dependent visa and came back to india 2 months back. my husband’s visa got extended for another year and he got it renewed within uk itself. Now i want to apply for dependent visa again from india but the problem is our marraige certificate is with my husband in uk. Is it possible to apply for visa with only the copy of certificate or do I need original certificate compulsorily?
