hi guys,

i recieved my approval letter today : took almost 2 months

I would contact the council and try to book the ceremony directly over the phone, as I have seen so many do that, they never received the invitation or late received it, but they called their council and booked over the phone. If I were you, I would try on Monday.

Just an update from me, hopefully someone finds it helpful/interesting.

I sent them an email earlier today asking for an update. A few hours later I got a call from a private number which I couldn't pick up; they left a voicemail. The voicemail was from a friendly chap at the Home Office letting me know that my application has been approved and that I'll be getting a letter in the next 3 weeks.

I've never heard of anyone being called back by HO so posting it here in case someone is getting a call from a private number - do pick up, it might be good news

It was NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk. I included my full name, case ID and date of birth. Hope that helps!

I will start contacting both of my councils from coming Monday, as I want to wait this whole week in case if I receive the invitation.

The only confusion is where will my certificate go, my local council or the one where I did NDRS.

FINALLY!!!

I received my approval today!!!

TOTAL TIME SINCE DATE OF ONLINE APPLICATION TILL TODAY:
2 months 7 days
or 9 weeks 5 days
or 68 days
or 1,632 hours
or 97,920 minutes
or 5,875,200 seconds

Guess what! My approval was sitting in my mailbox since the morning, and I was sitting here and replying to friends on the form. Did not check my mailbox today till 5 PM.

It says invitation letter will follow in a few days.

Even though I used NDRS-JCAP and there weren't any originals, they sent It in A4 plastic envelop not in brown letter type)

They retained the LIUK test. (As per the policy)

So happy!!!

Can you tell us if you received your ceremony invitation letter? Yes

If yes, then was it combined letter with approval or separate?Separate

If separate then how many days difference between both the letters delivery? About 2/3 days, but you can ring your local council to arrange the appointment if its mentioned in your approval letter.

Just an update. I send email on Sunday and received reply on Monday afternoon saying "A communication will be posted to you, this can take up to three weeks for you to receive".
I don't know how long it will take from here.
Hopefully this week I will get something. My previous email was 10 days ago and that have same old reply. Means they caseworker completed his work some point in last 10 days.

After Monday morning above reply of my email from FMT team.
Some home office worker send me updated email today. Saying "my British Citizenship has now been approved and my ceremony invitation has been dispatched today to my home address by second class post."
Good thing they themselves confirmed me on email before I got approval letter.

Now keeping an eye on post everyday.

Hey guys, so as mentioned last week my case worker requested me to retake the english test. The date given to me to resubmit it was yesterday. I have passed the test last week and sent my case worker an email with the pass letter as requested from her. I have received the actual certificate today and posted it straight away, they will receive it tomorrow but it will be 2 days after the date given to me. My case worker was aware that the certificate wouldnt get to them on time as the earliest test day available was 4 5 days before submit day. I have been emailing the caseworker and help desk with explaining everything since the day i passed the test but i have not heard anything back at all. I am really nervous that they might refuse because they didnt receive the certificate on time. Any of you guys had a similar issue or have any idea what would happen please?

Hi mate ,

Calm down

Home office must had confirmed/verified your certificate online as they normally check.

Certificate is not requirement in home Office guidence. So no need to send original certificate of B1 to caseworker.
