Partner visa status after main applicant got ILR

Post by psmurali89 » Mon Nov 26, 2018 4:31 pm

Hi

I recently got ILR through Tier 2 General 5 year route. My wife is in Tier 2 dependent and her visa valid until Feb 2019.

Under what category i should extend her visa, PBS dependent or family member of settled person?

* I understand she can extend her visa under Tier 2 PBS again for 3 years but am not in Tier 2 anymore. Also while filling the application, will it not ask for my QoS number etc? which i dont have anymore.

* Also i need to maintain £630 for 90 days for my wife if i choose to apply on this route. Do i need to show maintenance for me as well?

Think I can apply as "Family member of settled person" as well but that resets her time to apply for ILR?

The rules allow her to extend her existing visa if you have ILR.

£630 only as only dependent is applying.

Switching visa category will reset her clock yes.
