Guys, I know exactly what you’re going through (having been in the same position as you in the past). Unfortunately, there is not much you can do except ring constantly and get your partners to queue up daily at the office, or just sit and wait quietly (the latter option is hardly doable considering the importance of the pending decision).

I spent ten days with my husband; 5 ½ days as his fiancé and only 4 ½ days as his wife before I had to leave him due to work. Then the stupid TB test took a month for the appointment and the results. Finally, following submission of the paperwork; it was an agonising 26 days before I could smile my socks off!! But you know what, throughout that whole time I remained as positive as I could and exercised as much patience as I could… and in the end, a good thing really did come to us for waiting. A week after getting his passport back, we were drinking lassi and eating kulfi to our hearts content together in the U.K.!!

So just think positive, be patient and pray for the result you want!!

Good luck all!!

T444BBY

I guess i know what OC means. Do you know how they write FCO which means Foreign commonwealth office. Therefore, OC may mean your application has been forwarded to commonwealth office. I may be wrong but it's just a guess.

Ask the gerry's ppl they updated it and shud know.

I know how you guys feel. I was away from my hubby for 8 months!! (I also saw him after 8 months, was hell!) It was a very tough time but with patience we got the result we wanted. We are now back in UK, happy as ever (alhumdulillah).

Just finally we can live our life like a married couple! ï

I've just perused through your comments, and if you're talking about the Gerry's Visa service webpage, well when I applied for my husbands visa last year, their system's crashed in August, and I couldnt keep track of anything, and the idiots there had no idea about anything. Has this service EVER worked for you girls? Because it might have been mucked up since last year.

Hi all,

Hope you had a gud weekend! No update on the applications yet!! My hubby called the BHC and Gerry's ppl dis morning and was told that due to rechecking!!!!! there is a delay processing the applications he was also told that he wud have 2 wait until he reaches the 60 days in order to make further enquiries from BHC.

I think it's getting serious now i can't beleive the length of tym it's takin. What rechecking i thought their wasa standard check required, all the supporting docs are there 2 make a decsion in a number of weeks.

:( :( :(

please rememba me in ur duas. If anyone has heard plz advise ASAP.

Salaam,

To be honest "hum786" i wudn't stress over it too much...... because you hear different stories evrytime you ring them places, and it gets you down so don't listen to them

You don't know what to believe.

Insha-Allah will remember you ALL in my dua's....

keep me posted on all updates....
