Valid and Issue Date for Tier1 Conflicts

Post by Tier1HSMP » Wed May 07, 2008 10:08 pm

Hi all,

I had come across this forum once i submitted my Tier1 HSMP, I can say this forum is really helpful for lots of people who have applied and also for those who are gonna apply...

My Timelines for switching from a WorkPermit to Tier1 within UK are as follows...........

Applied Date - 25/03/2008
Debit Card Charged - 04/04/2008
Reference number allocated - 04/04/2008
Reference number received - 08/04/2008
Passport stamped - 29/04/2008
Documents received - 07/05/3008 (by RoyalMail recorded delivery)

What im unable to understand or rather some one can provide me the info for my query !

My stamped passport says
Date of Issue - 29/04/2008
Valid Until - 23/04/2011

And also the letter from Home Office says that my Tier1 is Valid until 23/04/2011

Now my question is why there is a difference of 6 days though my passport was stamped on 29/04/2008, will it not affect during extension or applying for PR ????????????????

Should not my visa not be valid until 29/04/2011 rather than 23/04/2011.

If someone has faced the similar situation, please let me know...
whether its a OK thing or else i need to inform the home office for correction.

Any info from you guys would be of great help.

Cheers !

Hi,

I undersand your point but anyway before the completion of these 3 years, you either have to apply for extention or ILR(which I don't know). For either of these applications you have to apply at least one month in advance as advised by the home office so I think one week wouldn't make any difference. I hope it would be helpful.
