Effective date of IHS (Immigration Health Surcharge) to be doubled

Do we have any date from which the Immigration Health Surcharge will be doubled?

The amendment has been approved and it says 'in december' which is very ambiguous.

Can they implement the change with immediate effect from 12am on 1st December 2018?

Appreciate your assistance as I am about to file my Tier 2 General Visa for 5 years and I can save GBP 1000 if I know the date.

Not sure why you believe the moderators would have any additional information other than what has been published so far!! It is high unlikely to be 1 December!!!
