Funds availability for Right of Abode

Post by vamsipriya » Tue Dec 04, 2018 7:38 pm

Hi,

Can someone please help me. I have 3 questions regarding my child Right of Abode application process.

1. I am applying for Right of Abode for my Child from India. My Husband is a British citizen (through naturalization) and I am on ILR (Indian passport). I need to know what is the amount that we need to maintain within our UK current accounts.

I and my husband have permanent jobs in the UK.Is it OK if we send our Payslips and P60s?

2. Could you please tell me how many days is it taking to complete the application process and get the certificate to me.

3. Is there any time frame to travel to UK once I receive the ROA certificate?

Many Thanks

Was the child born before or after your husband was naturalised (date of the citizenship ceremony)? If after, the child is a British citizen and there are no financial requirements for the CoE-RoA application.

Thanks for the reply Simon.

My husband got his naturalization in 2016 and my child born in August 2018.

Could you also please tell me is there any time limit for my child to travel to UK once the ROA certificate is received.

No there is not. ROA valid for the duration of the passport validity.
