Can I extend PBS Dependet Visa for just 1 Yr?

Dear Gurus,

I got my ILR from Tier 2 General route recently. My dependents are short of 3 months to complete their 5 years to apply for ILR.

While applying for PBS dependents extension, is it possible to extend for just 1 year so that I can pay 1 year health surcharge?

If Yes, how to do that while paying NHS Surcharge?

Unfortunately not. It is a 3 year extension as stated in the immigration rules part 8 - pbs dependents.

IHS is double soon as well.

What date did your dependents get their first visa and what date did they enter the UK?

They landed here on 8th Mar 2014 and currently visa valid until 10 Dec 2018.

They can apply for ILR. Their residence counts from visa issue date.

Oh my god. Thanks for this mind blowing message. Let me double check my situation.

My dependents, Tier 2 General Visa valid from 10 Jun 2013. But they landed to UK on 8th March 2014. We all applied for extension on Apr 2016, so we got extension until 10 Dec. Also their absence is less than 180 since 8th Mar 2014.

Even though they stayed for only 4yr 9 month, are they eligible for ILR?

My spouse still not applied for her LIUK and English test. With just 5 more days for their current leave expiry, what options do I have now.

You don't really have any option then but to apply for an extension as I don't believe you have enough time now to do both tests.

You could try get appointments for the tests and will need to get them done like tomorrow or the next day latest.

First of all, thanks a lot for responding to my question and appreciate your continued effort to answer as many as questions.

I have submitted PBS dependent applications today using new UKVCAS process. After the payment, there was a mandatory step to book an appointment with UKVCAS by Feb 2019 for bio-metrics and documents review.

We were expecting to get both LIUK and ENGLISH test by 17th Dec 2018. Can I vary my current PBS application to ILR on 17th Dec 2018 before submitting bio-metrics and documents to UKVCAS?
