Basis of visa validity start date

Post by Vijayan160287 » Thu Dec 06, 2018 6:49 pm

Hi,

I am going to apply dependant visa for my wife and child from India to UK. In the application i have given the travel date for them as Jan10th but I have planned to bring them here on Jan25th.

I have scheduled the interview for tomorrow. Is it safe to attend the interview tomorrow?

On what basis the visa validity date will be calculated?

My doubt is that if they travel on Jan25th will the visa validity will get expired before?

Thanks
Vijayan R

The visa will have a 30 day validity to enable your family to enter the UK and collect their BRP from the designated Post Office within 10 days of arrival.

What 'interview' are you referring to :?: VFS Global are simply handling Agents for the Home Office and don't interview applicants.

Yes. I am referring to VFS global biometric process.

The Visa validity will be given on what basis? Is it based on the travel date given in the application?

The Case Worker should issue the visa for the date specified, but in practice this doesn't always happen.

Where in India are you submitting the application?

It may be helpful to check the Timeline thread for settlement visa application submitted in India. However, please continue to post all questions here in your topic.
