Post by indian_in_uk » Thu Mar 10, 2005 10:35 am

Hi All,

I sent my HSMP application of 08/03/3005 and It was received by HSMP team on 9th March. I am an In-country applicant and in IT field. Any Ideas about when will they take a decision on my application?

Thanks in advance :)

I knew, thats why I said I wont give you mine..

See Ma'm, I just asked for an approximate time scale from members who had their application approved recently. Why are you taking this seriously?
Is everything alright?

Give it about 2 to 3 weeks they will have sent you a decision.

2 to 3 weeks weeks may be a bit optimistic given some of the time members have been waiting. I know mine took about 7 weeks. Others have taken as little as a few days; some have been waiting more than 7 months. I think there really is no way to know for sure until you have it back in hand. They do seem to be processing the most recent applications quickly and are making some progress on the backlogged ones from last summer.

Hi indian_in_uk,

I applied around the same time.

Did you recive a confirmation email/letter and a reference number?

If so, did the email or letter mention that they are currently processing June 2004 applications?

Thanks!

My application was received by the HSMP team probably the same day as yours.

Have you received a case number/confirmation yet? My credit card was charged on the 9th March but so far I have still not received confirmation in terms of a case number.

Please keep us updated if you hear any news!

Hi Tyce and Denden,

I submitted my application on 8th March,2005
received by Home Office - 9th March,2005
CC charged - 9th March,2005
Email received from Home office with Reference Number - 9th March,2005

P.S. Denden: I dont think the email says anything about the timescales.

My application reached the HO on March 9, 2005.
My credit card was charged on March 9.
I received a confirmation email with a reference number on March 10.

However, the email also said "We are currently working on applications received on 16/06/04"

I'm wondering if that is just a formality, or it means that my application is going to be added to the queue, rather than processed right away as they seem to be doing in many current cases.

Anyone else had someting similar written in ther confirmation email/letter?

I posted my HSMP application on 8th March, 2005.
Application received by home office on 9th March, 2005
Credit card charged on on 9th March, 2005
Called the HSMP team today in the morning and they said my case is being worked on and I will get the decision letter within one week :)

I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for best.

Wish me luck friends :)
