Hello,
I just wanted to clarify some dates making sure we don't waste £3k...
I came to the UK on 31Dec 2009, I was intending to apply using the premium service on the 4th because this was within the 28 days to apply early under the legacy rule. So I was trying to book an appt from early november being under the impression that when they actually would consider my application I was within the 28 days of becoming eligible to apply.
I am still wanting to apply on Jan 4th but was looking to conclude and book my appointment before the years end in case there is a rush due to holidays in early Jan.
I would have thought that since the application is considered AFTER the biometrics are submitted, I would be able to do what I want as written above and everything would be good, but since this a new system (and I read the home office starts pre-approval by considering your documents before your appt) and the sum of money involved in case of a mistake is considerable....that I am still able to do the same.
Does the ability to apply 28 days early still apply? And when is technically your date of application? the day you pay or the day you show up for biometrics?
Apologies if this has been asked and answered before I have tried to search and read the other threads and ended up confusing myself further.
