Did u try to send an urgent treatment request? u can get a letter from ur employer and fax it or post it ( i know they said it's not their problem if u have applied late for tier 1 and now ur employer is bugging u, but i think a letter from the employer will give it a kick, u know a pro letter with the logos and stuffies), u have nothing to lose maximum they will ignore ur request, worse case scenario u postpone ur trip, but don't gamble on ur new job!

I don't think HO will treat this as urgent, they have mentioned clearly this scenario is not considered as urgent. also when i called, they will not consider this as urgent.

i really dont know whether to send a urgent treatment or not. it will unnecessarily disturb them.

Also, i treat hard to know the status, but they are too adamant. i dont know why they can't update us on our applications.

I just managed to speak to someone at HO and he very kindly decided to update me the status but he just told me " its not being dealt with as yet" I think its these generic answers which they give to everyone. Its ridiculous

No one will update u on ur status and they even give u wrong information sometime, the only person to update u on ur application is the caseworker, and even if u have his/her name, they won't let u speak with him/her.
All what they have is an update of ur application on their screen, for instance, they can tell u : we received a fax from u, we sent u a letter yesterday....no more details than that.
Regarding urgent treatment, i know they did give this scenario, but if u know the name of ur caseworker u can address it to him/her and let ur employer for example boost u with a letter stating ur PB number, that might help, at the end of the day they r dealing with what supposed to be highly skilled so they should know that they should be flexible, is it the case? i'll leave it for ur applications and time, bearing in mind that the tier 1 is a new system and the people dealing with might not be well trained and they will be confused with any small detail which personally i think it's the case...

I bet if u call in 5 mns, u will get another answer, it happened to me...As i said the people behind this number don't know anything, they can put ur PB number on their screen and they will have only a small feedback about the date of ur application, if the money is processed (the most important thiing ) and if there's anything pending from ur caseworker such as they need a paper (and hey they don't tell u exactly what's in the letter ) what will happen? u get more and more frustrated... Give it time....and for people tied up like me : burn slowly....

I bet if u call in 5 mns, u will get another answer, it happened to me...As i said the people behind this number don't know anything, they can put ur PB number on their screen and they will have only a small feedback about the date of ur application, if the money is processed (the most important thiing ) and if there's anything pending from ur caseworker such as they need a paper (and hey they don't tell u exactly what's in the letter ) what will happen? u get more and more frustrated... Give it time....and for people tied up like me : burn slowly....

I just managed to speak to someone at HO and he very kindly decided to update me the status but he just told me " its not being dealt with as yet" I think its these generic answers which they give to everyone. Its ridiculous

Thanks mate. I did called HO just now imposing my reference number. Looking at the screen, he said they are not looking for any additional documents. but, as expected he didn't updated on status. BUT HE SAID CURRENTLY THEY ARE PROCESSING APPLICATION MADE ON MAY 1st.

uha, well each time i called i gave them my PB number, just introduce urself and tell them that u applied at date ... and u would like to know if ur application is pending any documents and this is the PB number, impose it. and she/he will tell u to confirm ur full name and will tell u wuz happening on his screen, but again they don't give accurate details. Bear in mind their answers might put u in a state of DUHHHH>?!?!??!<

My concern is they don't even check asking our reference number. At least i would like to know whether there are any issues(not filled) with applications so that applicant can send any thing required.

No Updates my friend...Theres no use calling the HO and getting depressed after hearing the same old update (have already called them thrice)... So waiting till my agent receives some updates from HO....
