The worse thing is leaving your husband, the hardest thing to do!

Its hard but you try an adjust life, i was lucky i was working. If i was sat home I would have gone insane.

Its great to have phones, i used to talk 2-3 hours each day to my husband. Heard the prices have gone up for phone cards (just in time for me otherwise I would have to buy millions!)

Where abouts in pak are you from?

No progress from my side....

still the same msg on the net....

although i have heard that they are taking up to 60 days with settlement visa's.......
dnt know if this statement is true or weather its another rumor, but 60 days are almost up for us girls in another week or soo....
(it might be true)

I got married 16th March 08......submitted the visa on 15th April......stayed almost 3 weeks afta wedding and then back to work.....

please keep me posted on any updates....

Mine was submitted in march and took total of 5 weeks (inc submitting everything and finding out passport had arrived)

It may well be that they are having a lot of applications which is causing a delay.

Hi Princess,

I got marid on the 6th march 2008 i only stayed 3weeks with my hubby then i had 2 cum back due to work. I really miss him it was hard leaving him. No corrospondence 4rm my side as yet! Dont know if we will ever get a reply.

I'm from joharabad in pakistan it's near the city sargodha punjab area.

I don't think these peepz realize they palying along with other people's lives.........

It obvious they don't take their jobs seriously.....

They should at least update people on thier applications cos then at least you have rough picture on whats going on...
BUT NO you gotta play the guessing game .......

im not even guna contact them cos it just winds me up speaking to them.......

just keeping my cool now and enjoying the sun alone......

and just going with the flow.....

Is it true ppl say making enquiries goes agianst your application cuz i cant wait now its making me ill i'm fed up.

I sent an email to the Visa Enquiry office, I sent the email to 'visqry.islamabad@fco.gov.uk'. I recieved an automated response email back. The automated response email answered by query but I did notice at the end of the email the following:

I think if you have been waiting 5/6 weeks, then I would suggest emailing the address quoted above. Seems like that one would actually be handled by someone and not just responded to with another automated response.

Well,i am waiting since the 17th of April.I went personally to Pakistan and did all the paperwork over there and bring her to VAC Islamabad.I Have applied on a EU Famimly member for my wife.The file was made up by a Barristor here in the UK.I brought that file to Pakistan did the TB test for her and submitted the application.My friend had submitted his application on the 4th April 2008 and got his visa stamped on the 30th April and his passport was ready for collection on the 6th of May.I wonder what those idiots are doing over there.Maybe the ECO are gone holidays

i think there is no harm in emailing them or even ringing them.
i understand that the calls/emails are answered by front room staff and not the entry clearance officers.
so i dont think it will afeect the decision on visa anyways.
