Fresh talent visa

My wife has been accepted to study in Scotland next year, doing a BA in economics. I just visited the UK border agency website & it would seem that they want to suspend the fresh talent visa & incorporate this under the UK graduate scheme. Can anyone confirm this? A big part of applying thru a Scotland university was the prospect of qualifying for the Fresh talent visa.

The Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland Scheme will close completely on 29 June 2008. After this date all applications, including those from anyone currently in the United Kingdom under this category, must be made under Tier 1 of our new points-based system.

Immigration routes being deleted by this Statement

7.28 This Statement of Changes deletes the following routes from the Immigration Rules:
7.28.1 The Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (which has already been deleted incountry
and for applications made in India);
7.28.2 Investors (the old route that appeared in paragraphs 224-229 of the Immigration
Rules);
7.28.3 Businesspersons;
7.28.4 Writers, Composers and Artists;
7.28.5 International Graduates Scheme;
7.28.6 Innovators;
7.28.7 Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland.

scottish fresh talent and the graduate scheme is closed now and u can only apply under the tier1 post study work which is quite similar and yeah u dnt necassarily need to go to scotland for this purpose now.
