Imp Quer on Previous Earnings.

Post by coolsats » Thu Jun 05, 2008 10:36 am

Dear friends,

I have my last query before i file for my Tier 1.
For Previous earnings the documents that i have is :

1) 12 Months salary slip from the company, duly signed and attested by the fianace dept.
2) 12 months bank statement.

IS the above two documents enough or do i even need ITR Form 1 and Form 16 from the employer.

The query is do i even need to have documents i.e ITR1 and Form 16 to be attached along with the Tier 1 application.
Expecting an early reply.
Thanks for all ur help in advance.

Hi,

The documents you have are enough. keep it simple. Highlight you salary credits in your bank stmt and make sure the figures on the bank stmt match the net amt on your paylsips.

No need for ITR1 and Form 16.

Thanks for the response guys...
But my consultant says that its good and increases ur chances of getting the VISA, if i apply them with FORM 16, and ITR1.
Am, so confused now.
Just thinking what in case if they reject my visa for want of Form 16 and ITR 1 Form...

Hi coolsats,

What is the earning period that you are claiming?

Extract from the guidance notes -

- 110. For the purposes of paragraph 245F of the Immigration
Rules, the documents specified are as follows:
-- 4. Official tax document generated by the tax authority or
employer, showing earnings upon which tax has been paid/is
to be paid in a tax year
--- Please note that whilst tax documents are included in the list of acceptable documentation, they will rarely be of use. This is because tax documents are usually produced at the end of a fixed tax period and will therefore not show the entire period for which the applicant is claiming previous earnings unless they exactly mirror the period claimed. Applicants should therefore be cautious about using such documentation unless they are satisfied that that it details the exact amount of earnings for which they are claiming points.

One of the applicants application was rejected as the tax doc he had submitted did not cover the "entire" period of his earnings!

Hi hussain,

Am claiming from June 2007 till May 2008.
Am am expecting to get the form 16 by next week.
And if the itr and Form 16 is required then i can get those filed and get it in another two weeks time, if its highly desirable.

What do u guys recommed, should i wait for the ITR and Form 16 or i can directly go ahead and submit just my 12 months bank statement and salary slip...
Waiting for the confirmation from you guys..

The documents you are submitting are sufficient.

Since Saral / ITR covers period from April-March, you cannot use it as evidence of earned income.

As already suggested, go with bank statements and payslips.
