On the Documents Checklist it says:

"From the 5 November 2018, you will no longer need to submit passport photos with your application and any
evidence you provide can be originals or copies. If we require passports, these must be original."

Based on this, I think copies will be fine as if you use the new service, everything will be uploaded files or scans anyways. If you are worried that copies won't be accepted, you can provide all original documents just to be safe.

Yes, I understand that. I applied online and sent all my documents to Sheffield as well. I just mentioned the uploading service as an example as to why it's okay to just provide copies as well.

I think you need to send the originals BRP as you will get a new one hopefully. I have started completing my wife's application and under mandatory documents it says:

-The passport issued by
-The biometric residence permit for

Only the sponsor can send copies of the passport. I will be posting as well.

I got the same postal address. Not sure whether the application has to be printed and sent though? It is not on the checklist.

Hi CandyLee,

How did u you post? Normal letter post? As the new address is PO box, can we send using next day special delivery. Not sure if post office accepts special delivery for PO box.

Thanks

I used special delivery(guarantee by 1 P.M.) and I saw that it was signed by someone the next day at 6 A.M. on the tracking system. So I assume it's not a problem, and the people at the post office didn't have an issue with the PO box address either.

Nope, no idea how to check the status. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't received any acknowledgement letters from them yet.
