***URGENT** IHS Charge Query

Dear All,

Could you please clarify my query regarding the payment of IHS charge for a PBS Dependent Visa for my wife.

I am currently a British Citizen with my passport expiry in 2028

PBS Dependent (Extension Visa) for my wife (probably they will grant her 2 years) as Initial application was for 3 years, So according to me before the IHS charge increases to £400, the IHS charge i need to pay is £400 for the next two years, Howewer after populating the information on the IHS website, it is asking me to pay £2000, I am not sure if this is correct (Is this calculating the term until my passport expiry and charging me)

Please suggest a way to handle this situation.

It is a 4 year extension and 3 year Ihs payable.

Change your "expiry date" to 3 years ahead.

I did not get this.

Initially, she was granted with one year (from India) in Feb 2015 as my LTR was going to expire and I was due for my ILR.

After I was granted ILR, I have continued to renew on Tier 1 Dep (PBS dependent extension) in Feb 2016, which was granted for 3 years (until Feb 2019) - paid 3 year IHS charge.

Currently I am with British Passport.
She will need to renew her Visa for another 2 years (Hoping she will be granted for 2 years again) - My assumption is £ 400 - IHS Charge.

After I have completed the application, I have been asked to pay £2000 with no option to make any changed to application and it looks the application is locked.

Please advise how can i change the expiry date to 3 years and also will HO will be cross checking my passport for expiry which is Nov 2028.

She cannot apply for a 2 year extension. Y is clearly stated in the immigration rules that it will be a 3 year extension.

What have you put in the form regarding YOUR immigration status??

HO won't "cross check". It is a glitch in the system they are aware of.

Ok, so this will be a 3 year visa.

So How can i change the expiry date now.

I have included the following in the form:

Visa Status - British Citizen
Visa Route- Tier 1
Visa Type: Tier 1 (General)
Visa Expiry (Passport Expiry Date) - Nov 2028
Visa Ref Number - My passport number

You need to either go back and change the passport date or start again.

Would i be able to create another application, while this is pending for payment of IHS charge ?

As there are no options to make any changes until i make the payment

Please suggest.
