Switch from Tier2 ICT Main to Tier2 General dependent

Hi - I am in UK from 2017 on Tier 2 ICT (main). My husband and son are on ICT dependent.
My husband is getting ICT general from his employer so he is planning to visit home country to switch from tier2 ICT dependent to tier 2 general

Kindly help answer on below queries:
a. Can I switch from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General dependent from UK.
b. Can my son switch from Tier2 ICT dependent to Tier2 General dependent from UK.
c. When should my son and I switch from our current visa. Is it better to wait till my ICT visa validity (2020) or shift immediately. Are there any pros and cons for either.

c. As soon as you wish to. Once you switch your clock will only start counting for ILR. The sooner you apply once your spouse returns to the UK, the sooner your residence for ILR starts and the sooner you are free to take up any employment if you wish.
