ILR - 5 years on Tier 2 (general) confusing documents

Post by missbb » Mon Jan 14, 2019 12:30 pm

Dear All,

I am applying for ILR on the basis I have been on Tier 2 General visa for 5 years. Once I have filled in the application, on the documents page I was asked for:

"For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules. For further information concerning the evidence required, please refer to the Tier 2 migrant policy guidance on our website"

Does anyone know what this means? After some research I think I have concluded that this applies only if you are combining 2 different visas for the 5 years continuous period? And as I was on the same type of visa for 5 years I wouldn't need to provide anything?

Thank you all in advance!!

Not relevant then in your circumstances if you have only been in the UK on 5 years Tier 2.

Thank you so much.

I have been in UK on Study Visa and Post Study work permit visa but that was before the 5 years I am basing this application on, so assume I do not need any of those?

Hello I have been granted overall 6 years of Tier 2 visa split into 2 two visas:
  • 1st Tier 2 Visa: Dec 13 - Feb 17
  • Visa Extension: Feb 17 - Dec 19
Hope this helps!

Hello I am applying on the basis of combining tier1 E and tier2 G (combining 5 years). Do I need to provide any evidence from tier 1 G then? If yes, what documents should I provide please?
