UK CoS Expiration Query

Hi All,
I have a CoS whose validity is expiring on 30th January 2019.
Can I use this CoS to apply for UK Entry Clearance Visa, considering the validity of CoS (18 calendar days remaining)
I understand Visa Approval process after submission of Biometric information takes around 3 weeks.
Thus by time I receive approved Visa, my CoS would have expired already.
Do we need a Valid CoS (Alive) to enter UK even if we have a valid UK Entry clearance visa?

You must apply while the COS is valid. Once it expires, you cannot use it.

Application I can file by 30th January.
But it might take 3 weeks for approved Visa to be received by me.
Will I be allowed to enter UK with a valid Visa and expired CoS?

You need a valid VISA to enter the UK. A CoS is only valid for 3 months and it does not have to be valid to enter the UK.

A valid CoS is required to apply for a visa.
