Post by 3crown » Sat Jun 07, 2008 11:23 am

Can anyone tell me their experience on first coming into UK on Spouse Visa - are medicals carried out automatically or do Immigration just pick & choose? How long is hubby likely to be questioned at H/Row?

He may also want to carry, in his hand luggage, a recent chest X-ray or an acceptable medical certificate certifying that he is free of TB. Else, he may be subjected to a X-ray examination at the airport.

India is not yet included in the TB screening programs. A recent X-ray may suffice.

so what actually is the difference between a T.B test and a medical examination, because my wife has got a medical examination tomorow in zambia, i hope she has a female doctor because im my experiance as a nurse medical exam usually mean head to toe checking.

if thats the case, are females provided with female medical staff.
