EEA Family permit for dependent child over 21

Post by Jianni7 » Thu Jan 24, 2019 5:57 pm

Good day all

I have a few issues with the questions asked for the EEA permit application. I am a dependent child over the age of 21 to Greek parents. I have to prove financial dependency and have been a student for the last 3 years thus my parents have been paying for all my studies and accommodation etc by putting money from my mothers account into my account. Notice money only comes from my moms account. The EEA national I am using is my mother as she is the one who sends me money as my father does not use online banking and she sends me money from our families business account which is in her name.

1. One of the questions asks if I am financially dependent on people and what is my relationship to them. I am dependent on my parents but my mom is the one putting money into my account so do I only answer “Mother” or “Mother and Father” and if I reply with the later must I show proof of where I received money from my dad even though I’m using my mother as my sponsor?

2. Another question is in regard to income and expenditure. Since my mother sends me money into my account must I declare this as an income? And the follow up question is “what are my monthly living costs” - I pay for my flat and studies from my own account after I receive the money from my moms account - thus must I answer this question about living costs for example adding up how much my flat is and studies and groceries etc or leave it at 0?

Thanks in advance

- If your moth is the EEA national sponsoring you then you should focus on her only.
- You don't have any income, you are dependent on your mother.
- For expenses you should calculate your whole outgoings yes.
