If it is more than 8 weeks for you then you should ring HO. If you have already rung, what did they say?

I rang them yesterday. They asked me to ring today as 8 weeks get completed by yesterday. I will try to ring them today for an update.

Over 7 weeks but haven’t heard anything yet. Guy who posted on ‘In country timeliness’ and got decision very quick was for Tier 4 to Tier 2 switch and not Tier 2 extension.

Did you get your visa? I am on the same boat. Its a Tier2 dependent extension application. Its been 8 weeks and one day.

I have applied using the 10 days priority service for Dependent Visa application and no result so far.

I have called twice on UKVI contact center.

First time I got an email which was a generic standard email.

Lot of people have got this email before.

Second time got a call and they just said we apologize and need to wait until decision is made.

Then I asked how would be we know about the decision, and they said it would be in writing.

I have no clue if they will send an email or actual letter.

How about you ? when did you submit the application and when was your bio-metric done ?

I applied for extension for my wife and I , but mandatory doc I uploaded my passport and wife passport and both BRP . It doesn’t ask any other documents... have u received any email from HO regarding ur application process

I have one got a generic email which does not say anything about what is the status.

second time I got a call saying that we appologize and you need to wait until decission is made.

What is your timeline , I mean when did you submit your application and when did you do your biometric ?

Did you choose for the standard service or priority service ?

And what documents you have uploaded online apart form BRP and Passport ?

I made my application on 5th December and I called them today. They got the application reference and said I will get an email in 3 to 5 working days. I think it will be a generic email as you said. Mine is a standard service, but yours is a 10 day priority service. I am not sure how much back log they have got.

After Biometric, I am running into 6th week now.

Contact Center asked application reference number, and personal details.

How about you, did you get our visa ?

I called UKVCAS 2 days back but they said they can take details once I complete my 8 weeks from Application date. Not sure if they want to take details for escalation or to check the status.

After speaking to call handler I am confused now, if they calculate 8 weeks from date of application or from Biometric date. In any case more important is to get an update.

I feel it should be after submission of application that is online submission.. however some say 8 weeks from biometric... wat ever it is . We need updates.. I don’t know how come Raj can get updates in 6 weeks...

Rang HO helpline ( which I believe is outsourced) on 31st Jan after completing 8 weeks from Biometric and was told to wait 3-5 working days for HO to get in touch. They can’t even tell you the status of application unless HO directly inform you.

I am in the same situation and done my biometric on 22nd Dec. Still been told to wait when I contacted them.

Try calling them and see what they say.

I submitted passport and BRP in mandatory and payslips/bank statements etc in other docs. I haven't uploaded any contract though.
