Marrying a UK citizen abroad while on Tier 2 visa

Hi all,

Hope I am posting this in the right forum.

I have a valid Tier 2 visa, my partner is a UK citizen and we intend to marry in May in my home country, during a holiday from work.

I know my partner needs to give notice at the Council to get a 'no impediment' document to show to the official in my country, but is there anything I should be doing in the UK? Again, the marriage will take place abroad, not in the UK.
