Tier 1 General Dependant

Post by dexter1 » Fri Feb 08, 2019 10:51 pm

Hi,
I am sorry if these questions have been answered already else where but I couldnt find them on the forum. I was on a Tier 1 General route and have now naturalised, my wife is on PBS tier 1 general dependant visa and her current visa expires in April 19, She still has one more year till she qualify for indefinite leave.
Q1, in supporting evidence do I only have to provide maintenance fund proof?
Q2, do we have to show maintenance funds for my wife and myself(even though I am not applying)
Q3, when I go to the healthsurcharge website it asks me for main applicant visa expiry, what do I enter as there is no option of british citizen there.
Q4, How early can I apply i.e. my wife's visa run out in April how early in advance can I apply as the next visa is going to be for 3 years even though i only need 1 yr.
Q5, do we need to pay 3 years health surcharge ? even though after a year she will qualify for indefinite leave.
thank you in advance for the help.

1. Yes.

2. Only for wife.

3. Put a date 3 years ahead to get the correct Ihs fee of £1200.

4. At any time.

5. Yes as that is the visa length she is applying for.

Thank you CR001,

There is a question in application form about public funds, my kids child benefit goes in my wife bank account , so the answer to that question is no right as it is me who initially claimed for child benefit to go in that account and my wife is no entitled to any public funds. will that be any problem? or shall I put yes in answer to that question.

No it won't be accepted with 2 years and you will likely be asked to pay the remaining IHS payment that will delay the application.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
