PBS Dependent Extension - IHS payment

Hi There,

Just I need your advice on your above visa situation. Right now I'm in the same boat. I'm going to extend my tier 2 general dependent visa in Feb 2019. I have 8 months short for to eligible ILR. my wife got ILR last year May 2018. I have a few QA about your wife's visa application,

1. how long you can extended ur wife's visa?
2. How much you paid for IHS? from Jan 2019 I have to pay £400 for one year.

From Jan 2019 the IHS charge is £400 for 1yr, If I apply for 3 yrs I have to pay £1200 for IHS, but I need one only extension.

So Please advice on this, how much IHS charge you paid for ur wife's visa is for 1yr or 3yrs?

Please do NOT tag your questions onto other members older topics about a visa that is not relevant to your circumstances.

The Immigration Rules state that a PBS Dependent extension will be for 3 years. You CANNOT choose a lesser visa validity time and will have to pay IHS for 3 years.

Hi, Yes I had to pay 3yrs IHS £600 last year. There's no option for you to choose 1yr or 3yrs... and it's by default a 3yrs extension.
Sadly, the £600 is non refundable once you move to ILR.

And also, the IHS has doubled, it is now £1200 for a 3 year extension.
