Hi all,
I have been reading this and a few other forums on ILR, timelines and super priority service. Having gone through similar situation twice I can only imagine what one feels. I hope this may help others -
Background: Applying for ILR SET(O) with a combination of Tier 1 General and Tier 2 General.
I have been on T1G for 7 years but due to the nature of my work and silly rule of absences from the UK, I couldn’t apply for ILR before that category shut down last year and had to get on a Tier 2 G to continue my stay.
I have recently applied for ILR via a super priority service. Here's the latest status -
Type of application: SET (O)
Online application submission date: 17 Jan 2019
Biometrics appointment date and location: 26 Jan 2019, Birmingham
Default acknowledgement email received: 21 Jan, 2019
Decision email:

Decision letter (post):

BRP (post):
waiting…
Raised 3 escalations -
Escalation 1 (via UKVI contact center): 4 Feb, 2019 - received a general email after that
Escalation 2 (via UKVI contact center): 6 Feb 2019 - was rudely told not to contact them again till 5 working days
Escalation 3 (via UKVI contact center): 12 Feb 2019 - the staff was nice this time and gave a reference number followed by a generic email
I finally decided to reach out to my MP on 13 Feb and just before I was about to send my email, I thought of checking the status of my BRP (link below) one last time and was pleasantly surprised by the change in its status. The status had changed to work for the sponsor till 2021 to you have no time limit to stay in the UK.
It's been 2 days since and I haven't received any email or letter yet. I am not even sure if this means a decision has been made? I understand that not everyone receives an email -is this true? Is this normal or more of an exception?
So for all those who are in the painful wait - you may want to regularly check the status of your current BRP at this link -
https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work . I am not sure if this guarantees anything but it doesn't hurt.
