Tier 2 (General) - receiving response/check sponsor

Hey guys,

Apologies if this has been asked before or is common knowledge. I haven't been able to find an answer.

I'm currently waiting for my Tier 2 to come through (biometrics done 10/1/19). Will they email you to say if you've been successful? Or will all the details ONLY be in the post?

In addition, did they call you to check your application/sponsor during the 8 weeks? My sponsor's landline has been down so I'm worried that they've tried calling but received no answer.

Is this a switch to Tier 2 General or an extension of Tier 2 General?

Did you use the new UKCVAS service to apply and upload documents and enroll your biometrics or did you apply by post?

This was a switch from tier 4 to Tier 2 (general) and I applied via the new UKCVAS service where I uploaded my documents and enrolled my biometrics.

Likely you will get an email and a postal letter. How long it takes depends on the service option you chose with ukcvas.

HO do not usually call an applicant during the process.
