Child registration as british MN1 with expired passport

Post by ForILR » Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:46 pm

Hi,
I am planning to apply MN1 form as child born in UK after parent's ILR but noticed that child passport expired one month back and UK visa (BRP) has valid up to 1 yr.

While applying MN1 online, it asking for national identity or travel document as passport expired.
Queries:
1. Can BRP card details enter in travel document section ?
if No, then its showing as below
"Reason for not providing identification documents
Explain why you are unable to provide either a valid national identity card or a travel document.
Proof of identity is usually required to make a valid application."

Regarding national identity card, there is Aadhar card which consider as identity card in India. Can we provide that info. in application?

Please help. Thank you.

A valid passport is not required for UK born children.

Thank you CR001.

In Online application, as passport expired, it was querying as below to make valid application
"Explain why you are unable to provide either a valid national identity card or a travel document"

My response is,
"Expired Indian passport will be provided with application as proof of identity and also valid BRP card issued by UK is another proof of identity"

Is response correct to make application valid ? Please advise

Along with application, I will submit below docs. Please advise if anymore docs need to submit
child applicant:
BRP
Passport
Full Birth Certificate
Two Referee declarations
Parents marriage certificate
Parents consent letter

Supporting documents:
Father's passport
Father's ILR
Father's ILR Home Office letter
Mother's passport
Mother's BRP

Hi,
I submitted application with details mentioned above. Final query is,

on behalf of my child (5 yrs), I (father) submitted application but in online, there are two options 1) I am the applicant 2) I am the representative

I choose 'I am the applicant' as there are no representative. Is this correct or wrong? because if submission by applicant, there is child consent form which appeared after paying fee.

Please advise if I have to mention in cover letter or can this be ignored ?

Thank you for your help
