Tier 2 PBS Child Status when Father become PBS dependend

Hi Team,
I am currently in UK under the visa category of Tier 2 General Applicant with my wife and 2 kids as PBS Tier 2 dependant. My wife got an offer and the hospital will issue COS for her. and My company made me as redundant and i have to leave and need to apply as PBS tier 2 dependant with my wife visa.

I have few query here
1. Does my wife needs to go to India to change the Visa? if yes, how do i cancel her current visa to apply the new visa?
2. Does my child need to apply for visa again to become dependant of my wife visa or can they stay here until the current PBS tier 2 validity expire, (assuming that my wife will be here in UK with her tier 2 general visa).

I am positive that i have to apply PBS tier dependant to remain in UK but query about my kids still not clear.

Yes, as you were advised in your previous topic (click) when you asked the question. Her dependent visa will be cancelled automatically IF she is granted a Tier 2 General visa. There is nothing that you need to do.

If YOU change to dependent visa then your child must change too. The child cannot remain on their current visa if it is linked to YOU holding a Tier 2 General main visa.

I have one more query in relation to the above subject. Do I need to pay the IHS surcharge again when I apply for a visa this year
considering that I already paid for kids and myself IHS surcharge for the current visa and this validity August 2020.
