Dependent Visa while main applicant ILR application

Dear fellow members,

I have Tier 2 (General) visa and had been working in the UK since 15 May 2014.
My visa duration is almost for 5 years, will expire on 3rd May 2019.
I would like to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain. I comply with all requirement and has no concern. However, I have below confusion.

My wife visa also expires on the same day. If I don't get the same day option to apply for the visa, ( I have been checking and there is no same day appointment available. I know I cant apply now but still I am checking ). I will have to send my application by post. This may take 6 months.

So what happens to my wife visa after 03 May 2019. can she also apply with me?? Sorry, I don't know if there is that option as well. My wife entered in Uk on 25 Nov 2015.

I am confuse, and cannot find any explanation anywhere.

What date was your spouse's dependent initial visa granted?

There is no longer a 'same day premium service', the PSC centres have closed. It is UKCVAS now but still no same day decision service.

My visa granted on 05 May 2014.
My wife visa granted on 16 Nov 2015.

Apologies I didn't know same day service is now closed and I saw a new service while I was filling the online form.

You can apply for ILR no sooner than within 28 days before your initial visa issue date. So sometime around first half of April.

My wife visa granted on 16 Nov 2015.

She can also apply no sooner than within 28 days of the 5th anniversary of the initial visa issue date.

You can apply first using the 24 hour super priority service (no guarantee though) and then apply for her extension once you have ILR. She must apply before her visa expires.

Yes. However, if your ILR fails, her extension application will also fail.
